Burt's Bees Peppermint Foot Lotion - Review

Burt's Bees Peppermint Foot Lotion, $9.00
As a North Carolinian, and a born and raised Southern girl, I can't go into a local store without seeing huge stocks of Burt's Bees products. It is a pride and joy of our state, and with those who like natural beauty solutions. No matter what your beauty need, Burt's Bees always has just the trick for getting you nourished and glowing. Today I'm reviewing an item from the brand that I love using for a good pamper!

After a long day, sometimes you want nothing more than to relax and soothe your tired feet.  Burt's Bees Peppermint Foot Lotion claims to do that and then some.  The first thing you notice about any product by Burt's Bees is their distinctive packaging.  Their bright yellow tubes and bottles go a long way towards livening up your bathroom.  Plus, you can always feel like you are doing something good for yourself and for the environment with their earth-friendly salves and potions!

Upon opening, the Burt's Bees Peppermint Foot Lotion does have a very pungent peppermint smell.  This is not for the faint-hearted! The texture is not as thick as one would hope for a foot lotion, though it does have glycerin and coconut oil to help hydrate your tired tootsies. I found that even after a liberal application, plus an overnight in thick socks, there was not a noticeable difference in the appearance or feel of my feet.  However, the peppermint and menthol do have an immediate cooling, soothing effect.  Plus, the smell is enough to perk up even the most tired of wearers.  Could imagine just using a small dollop of this on your hands for a mid-day pick-me-up!

If your intent is solely to help soothe your feet after a trying day, this is budget-friendly enough that it would be a good product to try.  If  you are hoping for real hydration for cracks, calluses, or dryness, I'd give this product a pass and instead would suggest using their hand creams as those tend to be a lot thicker, albeit oilier, and with good longevity.

Have you tried the Burt's Bees Peppermint Foot Lotion? Do you have any tips for soothing your feet after a long day?  Any regimens to get them feeling relaxed and rejuvenated?
